While certainly not a definitive list of technology tools, all of these were mentioned during the presentations and most have been personally classroom tested.
Multipurpose Tools:

Discussion Tools:
  • Chatzy-Create a chat website in seconds. The easiest chat I have encountered, although it has no monitoring capability.
  • Cover it Live--Create a chatroom that can be easily monitored and embedded onto a wikispace
  • Wallwisher--create a website in seconds where students can post sticky notes.
Research Tools:
  • Delicious--Social bookmarking tool to help organize and share web resources
  • Diigo--Social bookmarking tool to help organize and share web resources
  • Zotero--Sophisticated web-based research management tool
  • Jog The Web--Create annotated web tours
  • Many other research tools and resources at my Delicious research tag
Collaborative Editing Tools:
  • Google Docs--word, spreadsheet and powerpoint power point documents, plus a form tool for creating surveys and quizzes online.
  • Zoho--Collaborative web based office tools similar to Google docs.
  • Office Live--Office version of shared document editing...very similar to Google Docs.
  • Webspiration-- an FREE online version of the graphic organizer software Inspiration.
  • Etherpad--create a common workspace in seconds that can be accessed and edited by anyone you invite

Project/Publication Tools:

  • Toondoo--create graphic novels and comics on line
  • Photostory--Create basic photo slideshows with narration, text and music
  • Animoto--Create impressive slideshows with video, images, minimal text and music. Don't forget to apply for your free classroom passcode at
  • Glogster--Create multimedia digital posters.
  • Wix--Create a flash based website in no time.
  • Weebly-Create a flasbased website
  • Prezi --a multi-dimentional zooming presentation tool.
  • Time Glider-Create interactive, multimedia digital timelines
  • Museum Box--create a digital diorama to showcase information
  • Xtranormal--Create animated films
